“As a psychiatrist I am licensed to and commonly find instances where I prescribe medication for a whole host of emotional troubles, including what are identified as depression and other mood disorders, panic attacks, anxiety disorders, attention deficit disorders, obsessive compulsive disorders, eating disorders and sleep disturbances. However, I find that simply treating emotional troubles with medication often leads people to a dead-end. My associates and I believe that emotional problems are not meant to be managed, but rather to be healed. We aim to help our patients not simply recover from the current crisis, but more importantly, change the patterns and choices which got them into trouble in the first place. I was once told that our therapy helps our patients to “do life a lot better!”
